Lee passed away August 27, 1998 from pancreatic cancer. I met Lee in Kathy Martin’s English class at Lincoln Junior High School. We became the best of friends. We did spring break in Daytona Beach and Ft Lauderdale, took a road trip to Seattle, and met in various cities across the country where we could “happen” to be in the same town at the same time for work. We were roommates in the early 80’s and rented this great condo on 1855 N Halsted in Chicago. Lee was a great writer and loved to take pictures. He graduated from the University of Chicago and was the best man in my wedding. 16 years later I still miss him.
